Giving Guidelines for Pastor & Churches

The churches we minister in want to be a blessing and desire to give financially to help our work continue. Just as the Holy Spirit guided the Pastor’s heart in inviting us, we want to encourage the church to be guided by the Holy Spirit regarding love offerings. As a help to churches we are providing these giving guidelines.
Some churches have a pre-determined amount for special speakers; we encourage them to prayerfully consider using these guidelines so the Holy Spirit can work in each person’s heart individually. This reinforces the habit of relying on the Holy Spirit’s guidance in the Christian’s life, which is very important regarding ministry and finances. |

Love Offerings
1. Several weeks before our scheduled presentation, we encourage pastors to:
2. On the day of our presentation, take up a love offering at the end of the service (separate and distinct from your weekly offering for the church). Encourage people to give as the Holy Spirit leads. We can accept cash, checks, or debit/credit cards. Checks can be handled in one of two ways:
For those who prefer using credit/debit cards, or would like to give via ACH (electronic check), we will have a QR Code for smart phones at our display table. You might mention that Daniel Charland Ministries is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit ministry and giving is tax-deductible.

- Each week, remind the congregation that we are coming (give the date). Tell them that our full-time ministry exists through love offerings – we have been living by faith this way for 10 years.
- Ask the people to be in prayer about what God would have them to give. Remind them that the Holy Spirit will guide them in this matter if they have a yielded heart.
2. On the day of our presentation, take up a love offering at the end of the service (separate and distinct from your weekly offering for the church). Encourage people to give as the Holy Spirit leads. We can accept cash, checks, or debit/credit cards. Checks can be handled in one of two ways:
- Checks can be made payable to the church with one check given to us by the church made payable to “Daniel Charland Ministries”.
- If the church prefers, each individual can make checks payable to “Daniel Charland Ministries”.

Traveling Expenses
If the church would like to bless our ministry by providing reimbursement for our traveling expenses apart from the love offering that would be greatly appreciated. Traveling expenses can be very burdensome when they must be taken out of the love offering. Many churches issue a check from their general fund to meet this need (checks should be made payable to “Daniel Charland Ministries”).
To make it simpler, we are providing the following table relating to typical traveling expenses for our ministry (fuel costs are estimated to be $3.50 per gallon). If applicable, RV Park Rentals are typically $30.00 to $60.00 per day depending upon location and season.
