Great Blessing Has Led to Great Apathy
Americans have been blessed by God with greater wealth than any other people in the history of the world. For American believers, that means we have a greater responsibility with our wealth than any other Christians in history.
Indeed, when we get to heaven, we will hear the Savior say one of two things regarding our wealth: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" (Mt 25:21, 23) or "Thou fool" (Lk 12:20). This is a sobering thought. Our Stewardship Ministry presents a Biblical way for us to use our wealth wisely, investing in eternal rather than temporal things using the Zacchaeus Project as a road map.
The Zacchaeus Project enables Christians to understand God's perspective of who is rich and poor, rather than our own, relative perspectives. We can then determine the difference between "wants" and "needs" and determine from the Word of God just exactly what God expects us to do with the resources we have.
If American Christians invested their wealth in eternal things, we could turn America around in a few short years.

At this church Yard Free, people were surprised to learn that they were not at a yard sale, but that all items were being given away for free (along with the Gospel and ministry CDs and DVDs). Three people came to Christ through this event at Calvary Baptist Church in Essex Junction, VT in 2013.
